The Pakistan Regional Economic Forum (PREF) and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) have signed an MoU to establish the Centre for Regional Development and Structural Change (CRDSC) at NUST JSPPL. The Centre will serve as a leading platform for evidence-based policy research, dialogue, and capacity building focused on regional economic development, connectivity, and structural transformation.

Through this collaboration, PREF and NUST aim to strengthen academic and policy cooperation by organising policy dialogues, conferences, seminars, training programs, and leadership initiatives. The Centre will promote innovative approaches to regional economic transformation while supporting research and engagement on emerging regional opportunities and challenges.

CRDSC will also work towards developing international linkages with leading policy institutions, think tanks, and development agencies, particularly across China, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Supported by academic oversight and collaborative expertise, the Centre aspires to become a hub for regional policy innovation, strategic partnerships, and knowledge exchange.
